Metro, we have a problem!
For those of you considering pimping your ride with the biggest Big Apples (and I highly recommend you do), be forewarned: when inflated to their maximum PSI, they are too fat to slide into Seattle’s Metro Bus racks.
Yesterday, I struggled and struggled, trying to force the freshly pumped tires into the rack. The driver scolded me. I started sweating. In the end, the bus left while I stood on the corner, deflated. That’s why I missed my appointment.
So what is the magic number? I’m not sure yet. Instead of trying to figure it out by letting air from my tires and waiting for the next bus, I rode around my neighborhood the way I did when I was 10: carelessly and without pressure.
(Oh, and since you asked, yes, these are my favorite shoes to wear while riding my bicycle).
